Lane Ketler is the owner of Action Metals and has been in the scrap metal recycling business for the past 30 years. Lane inherited the love for recycling from his father who was co-owner of a scrap metal recycling facility in Lethbridge, Alberta. Over the next decade, Lane found various means of incorporating metal and recycling into his life until finally, in 1990, he opened the gates of Action Metals in Kelowna, BC. The business quickly grew from a four-man operation to a business that now staffs, on average, seventeen employees. Once again, the recycling bug has been passed down in the Ketler family. All four of Lane's children work right along side of him and have been instrumental in the growth and success of Action Metals.

Lane chose to establish Action Metals in Kelowna because he could see how greatly a recycling service was needed in this flourishing community. Action Metals has been recycling in the Okanagan for over 16 years. Last year, thanks to great customers, Action Metals was able to divert over 11000 tons of scrap metal from local landfills.
